As a family owned company, MoMa prides itself in being a trusted partner in making your property dreams come true - whether it is in the city center of Lisbon or on the coast of Alentejo.

After working as a project manager for over 10 years, which included the oversight of the development of the largest solar salt field installation in Angola, Tiago and his wife Virginia moved to Lisbon, Portugal in 2019. With the dream of buying and renovating their own home, they started their search.

It quickly became clear that there is a sheer volume of constructors, ranging quality, service and cost. After managing their own construction with their trusted team, they noticed a gap in the market.

Due to Virginia’s background and integration in the expat community, she frequently met with friends who were complaining that they were being over-charged and the service they were receiving when renovating their properties was far less than ideal. It was then when a close friend asked Tiago to support in a renovation. Taking on the job as a friend, Tiago realized that this was perhaps an opportunity for expansion, and so MoMa was born.

In 2022, their son Matteo was born which inspired the name: MoMa. The “Mo” comes from their dog, Mookie and “Ma” was inspired from Matteo. Keeping family values close to heart, it is MoMa’s vision to support families in creating their dream home.

Tiago grew up in Cascais, Portugal and studied in Switzerland. He is fluent in English which simplifies the process for his clients. When it comes to project management, transparency is at the forefront of everything MoMa does.
